TSP Roth option on track for launch

The long-awaited Thrift Savings Plan Roth option is on schedule for launch later this year, according to a Federal News Radio report.

Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board Director of External Affairs Director Tom Trabucco said the board plans to start sending details on the Roth option to all TSP participants, according to the report.

Is a ROTH really worth it...??...If you invest in a regular IRA/Roth now, you have a *guaranteed/immediate* tax benefit. If you pay taxes now, you may never even realize a tax benefit. Ask all the people who started investing in Roths years ago to see their investments barely get back to where they were (if they didn't lose their money altogether) today...

Great idea but I think I'll stick with my Roth at Fidelity. Much better selection of funds.
