Jobs cut at USPS
More than 1,700 of 2,429 specific reduction-in-force notices sent out last month to administrative employees by the U.S. Postal Service notified their recipients that their jobs were being eliminated, according to Government Executive.
The rest of last month's notices notified employees that they were being moved to other positions at or below their current rank. The move is one element in a broader plan to trim 7,500 slots as part of the agency’s restructuring strategy.
